About Rachel

Rachel Karlin, M.S., CCC-SLP, TSSLD, is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist based in Downtown Manhattan. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Hearing and Speech Sciences from the University of Maryland and her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from New York University.

Known for her warm, empathetic approach, Rachel has extensive experience working with young children, including those with speech and language delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder, gestalt language processing, social pragmatic challenges, myofunctional needs, and executive functioning difficulties. She believes that connection and trust are at the heart of progress, creating a safe, engaging, and playful environment where children can build confidence in their communication skills while feeling truly seen and understood.

Her sessions are dynamic and interactive, often incorporating movement to enhance learning and keep children engaged. With experience across private practice, public and private schools, early intervention/home care, and rehabilitation facilities, Rachel tailors therapy to each child’s unique needs, celebrating their strengths and fostering growth in a way that feels natural, fun, and empowering.

Rachel also values strong partnerships with families, offering guidance and open communication to ensure that progress continues beyond the therapy room. Her goal is to make every child feel supported, capable, and excited about their own potential.
